Welcome, Dan and Roger!

We are pleased to welcome new members Dan Johnson and Roger Tschanz. Want to learn a little more about them? Read on.

Dan D. Johnson was sponsored by Will Bagley. He was born in Minnesota, has a BA in history from UC Santa Barbara, MPA from University of Colorado. He works for Chevron. His area of historical interest is Western history and writers (Stegner, Fisher, Waters, and others). He has written Secrets of a Big Oil Men in the Rocky Mountain West (yet to be published). He was awarded the 2007 Governor John Vanderhoof Award for Outstanding Service to Western Colorado, and he has already served the cause of history in Utah by supporting the Stegner Symposium, several State History conferences, and more.

Roger Kent Tschanz Sr. was sponsored by Kent Tschanz. Currently retired, Roger was born in Idaho and has a BA in history from BYU and a law degree from the University of Utah. He is retired. His areas of historical interest are: Western Americana, immigrant trails, Utah War. He says: “I believe I could add information and perhaps a slightly different point of view from the mainstream.”
